Step by Step Private Nurseries have been providing childcare in Knightswood, Glasgow since January 1998. In 2001 we openend our after school club in Killermont in Bearsden and in 2003 we were delighted to add the experience and expertise of the team at Carrickstone Farm Nursery (now called Step by Step Nursery) in Cumbernauld. Our newest nursery in Maryhill in Glasgow opened in January 2005.
Since day one our first priority has been the children's happiness and our second, peace of mind for the children's parents and carers. The business is owned and managed by working mothers and so we understand fully the challenges facing busy families.

19th Jan - Outstanding HMIe report for Knightswood
HMIe, the education inspectors for Scotland visited our Knightswood nursery in November and during their time there found that practice across the board was very good.
13th Jan - Cumbernauld gets its first Green Flag
Congratulations to the team at Step By Step Cumbernauld on gaining their first Green Flag. This is a recognition of the nursery’s environmental awareness and eco-friendliness.
All of our nurseries and after school clubs are registered and inspected by Care Commission and work closely with the local authority. All of our nurseries are in Partnership with the local authority to offer government funded pre-school education, and are therefore inspected by HMIe. We are also members of the National Day Nurseries Association and are accredited by Investors in People.
Each member of staff has been carefully selected for their special skills and expertise and is registered with the Scottish Social Services Council. We are committed to staff develpment and therefore we offer Modern Apprenticeships in Children's Care Learning and Development to compliment the skills of our qualified staff.
Our facilities all vary in their accomodation and services but the caring and friendly ethos and high standards of our comapny are evident throughout. Our management team work closely together to share ideas and practice, this ensures that you and your child receive the service you require. We offer care from children aged 8 weeks - 14 years.
All of our programmes are designed to offer a balanced programme of fun and learning with plenty of time for cuddles and love.
