Investors In People Gold Award
Step By Step Nurseries had our third Investors in People Accreditation in November. We were delighted to be awarded the new Gold Standard – something attained by less than 1% of Scotland’s IIP organisations. We are very proud of our staff team. We have always known that their commitment to their jobs and to the care and attention the children need is exceptional, this award confirms that the staff members are equally committed to each other.
Cumbernauld Care Commission
The Cumbernauld nursery had its Care Commission inspection in October. We were assessed on three standards – Quality of Care and Support, Quality of Environment, and Quality of Staffing and were graded 5 – Very good on each. The care commission inspects on a 6 point scale (6- Excellent to 1 – Unsatisfactory). The full report is not yet available on line, we will let you know when it is, but if you would like to see a copy of the provisional report, please contact Lynne, the manager.
Out of School Club Care Commission
The Out of School Club had their Care Commission inspection in December. The Out of School Club were inspected on all four of the care commission’s standards – Quality of Care and Support, Quality of Environment, Quality of Staffing and Quality of Management. We were very pleased with the informal feedback we had from the inspector and as soon as the results are published we will let you know.
Knightswood Care Commission
We had our care commission inspection at Knightswood on 21st January and were absolutely delighted with the feedback we received. The report will be a while coming and we will let you know when it’s available on line.
Knightswood – Eco School Project
We had confirmation just before Christmas that our Knightswood nursery has been awarded the Silver Eco-school Award and is now well on its way to its Green Flag. Everyone on the team is delighted – please contact Lissa if you would like to take part in this exciting project at the nursery.
