Knightswood

Step by Step in Knightswood has been operating since 1998 and provides care for up to 30 children, with opening times from 8.00am till 6.00pm. It is situated just off Great Western Road near Blairdardie and is easily accessible by public transport.

Our accommodation comprises a baby room for 6 babies with an adjoining area for messy play and a milk kitchen; a toddler room for 6 older babies with direct access into the garden and the main playroom catering for up to 18 children aged 2-5 years. Here we can offer flexible accommodation, one large indoor play space or two separate playrooms depending on the needs of the children. The nursery has a private and enclosed garden and the children have time to play outside in it most days.

To ensure that the children’s outdoor play space is both safe and secure, only on-street parking is available for drop off and pick up.

Nursery

We have been part of the community of Knightswood since 1998 and have excellent local links. We regularly take the children to visit the library and other local amenities. Our partnership agreement with GCC means that if your child is between 3 and 5 at least some of their time at nursery may be funded. We will be happy to discuss this with you.

We have strong links with the local colleges who recommend and pay for our services to those students who require childcare whilst they study. The nursery has built up an excellent reputation for its friendly and welcoming environment and is well known as being one of the best child care facilities in the West End of Glasgow.

All our staff are qualified or working towards a recognised qualification in early years care and education.
